Final settlement prices determined for power futures contracts
On March 01, 2013 futures contracts on the average power price index in the Center hub (ECBM-2.13 and ECPM-2.13), Ural hub (EUBM-2.13 and EUPM-2.13), Western Siberia hub (SWBM-2.13) and Eastern Siberia hub (SEBM-2.13) were settled.
In accordance with the contracts' specifications the following final settlement prices were calculated:
- ECBM-2.13 – 1008.68
- ECPM-2.13 – 1175.82
- EUBM-2.13 – 954.43
- EUPM-2.13 – 1065.37
- SEBM-2.13 – 781.97
- SWBM-2.13 – 781,72
The final settlement price is computed in accordance with the contract"s specifications based on the arithmetical mean of all values of the underlying power prices index.
The below positions were settled for the following amounts:
- ECBM-2.13 – 878 contracts for RUB 59.533 million
- ECPM-2.13 – 470 contracts for RUB14.359 million
- EUBM-2.13 – 454 contracts for RUB29.136 million
- EUPM-2.13 – 636 contracts for RUB17.611 million.
During the lifetime of the February power futures 1,028 trades for a total amount of RUB468 million representing 8,535 contracts were executed. Out of this number 2,438 contracts were held until expiry and were settled for a total of RUB121 million.
